A special shaped ridge prism that can be used for inversion. Due to its vertical end face, it can be inserted between the object and the telescope eyepiece. If the ridge is replaced by a flat surface, it becomes a restored prism, also known as a K-prism.
Commonly used in astronomical telescopes, biomedicine, and other fields.
